Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Sr. HRIS Analyst for our corporate office located in downtown Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining integrity, security and accuracy of database including work flow to reflect updates and changes in the system
- Conducting investigation on programs to process data and to solve problems or issues involving the various functions of human resources
- Providing assistance to users in analyzing, designing, developing, testing and implementing programs to meet special and on-going needs of human resources information
- Maintaining regular contacts with users to develop, maintain, produce, distribute and/or write standard and custom reports and queries so as to address departmental goals and objectives
- Serving as the liaison with managerial and systems analysis personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems or concerns, make suggestions on changes and determine the extent of programming involved
- Analyzing test runs on the information system to correct coded program and input data as appropriate or needed
- Initiating revising current programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
- Compiling and maintaining documentation of program development and subsequent revisions
- Making recommendations on new or changes to software or computer equipment so as to meet the needs of the Human Resources function, or the users of HRIS
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information System, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field of study, or equivalent experience in directly related area
- Five to eight (5-8) years work experience in the HRIS function, or IT system interface
- Strong analytical skills and reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills with effective and professional customer service skills
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the HRIS function
- Proficient in the use of Excel, Access, Word and other office software
