Our client, a leader in the distribution of energy products is looking for a new Director of finance for their regulated group. In this role your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing process and internal controls for the regulated team and manage the accounting and regulatory support.
In more detail, your daily responsibilities will include the following:
- Lead the accounting and planning initiatives for your business unit
- Manager period end financial statements, improvement processes and related documentation
- Lead the planning for forecasting and budgeting process,.
- Assist the organization in driving shareholder value
- Manage the relationship with Retail Regulatory Compliance group and wholesale personnel
- Clearly communicate and ensure that AUC directives are implemented
- Manage the external audit preparation
- Provide ongoing support and senior financial insight to your team on Regulated Business initiatives
Only the applicants with the following qualifications will be considered:
- Degree in commerce or equivalent
- Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
- Experience with SAP reporting
- 10-15 years of accounting and finance experience
- 5-7 years in supervisory and management experience
- Wholesale or retail energy industry preferred
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance is beneficial
- Go getter and self starter who is results driven
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Exceptional communication skills- written and verbal
This company is offering a base salary that ranges upon experience around the $125,000 per annum. Additionally the company offers a great benefits package that includes full medical, dental and up to 30% bonus.
