This position is open to Nigerian nationals ONLY.
Our International Recruiting division has a requirement for a suitably qualified, experienced and highly professional individual that possesses the comprehensive skills set and experience listed below.
This position is assigned ONSHORE/OFFSHORE and is based in Nigeria.
Minimum Education & Skills
- B.Sc. in Engineering with strengths in the areas of Project management and production facilities.
- 5 years varied engineering experience.
- Fluency in English.
Particular/Preferred Experience
- 5 years oil and gas experience with some offshore experience preferred.
Scope of Work/Job Duties
- Assist project teams by developing and maintaining project monitoring and reporting systems aiding the effectiveness of the management of projects.
- Assist in the timely financial closeout of projects.
- During the initial definition phase/funding phase of the project, the engineer will:
- Document the project team's/project engineer's execution plans in the project schedule.
- Consolidate, and document the project estimate at each project gate.
- Assist in the development of the project funding plan and funding package.
- Develop the Estimate Confidence Package (Cost and Schedule).
- Document the control plans for the project.
- Assist team in documenting the organization plan for the project.
- Develop expenditure forecast consistent with project team plans.
- Assist team in appraising the overall performance of the project with respect to cost and schedule.
- During the execution phase of the project, the engineer will:
- Update status on the project schedule and ensure the project team's/ project engineer's execution plans are reflected in the remaining activities of the project schedule. Assist team in identifying and implementing recovery plan actions.
- Assists accounting in ensuring costs are correctly charged to the project.
- Perform cost allocation as required by project (project costs split to AFEs, or project management allocations).
- Update cost reports reflecting expenditure versus approved budgets and forecast of final project costs. Incorporate formal cost in the month project report.
- Ensure compliance with approved control plans for projects.
- Assist team in documenting the project management organization for comparison against plan.
- Maintain forecast of expenditure forecasts consistent with project team plans and monitor against previous forecasts.
- Provide input into the annual plans and budgets (P&B), and JV budget submissions for the project.
- Assist team in appraising the overall performance of the project with respect to cost and schedule.
- Prepare monthly cash-calls and follow through with controller to ensure expenditures within approved levels.
- Prepare monthly accrual forecasts to accounting group.
- Maintain/update AFE log for project.
- Assist team in monitoring AFE status and preparing supplements as required.
- Assist team in developing project closeout documentation.
