This position is open to Nigerian nationals ONLY.
Our International Recruiting division has a requirement for suitably qualified, experienced and highly professional, who possess the comprehensive skills set and experience listed below.
This position is assigned both on and offshore and is based in Nigeria.
Minimum Education & Skills
- Degree BS/MS in Engineering, Naval Architect or equivalent.
- 10+ years experience in oil and gas operations / projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and common E-mail systems.
- Fluency in English
Particular/Preferred Experience
- Extensive construction experience
- Significant offshore installation vessel supervisory experience.
Scope of Work/Job Duties
- Supervises all the offshore Constructions Supervisors and trainees.
- Serve as on-vessel MPN representative and primary interface with Contractor Supervision team.
- Manage MPN on-vessel personnel.
- Serve as primary communications link between vessel and the shore-based Construction Support Team.
- Responsible for construction safety and quality.
- Responsible for on-vessel incident response case management.
- Train, develop and mentor Offshore Construction supervisors (trainee).
- Ensure good construction practices.
- Ensure approved installation procedures are followed or MOC process is implemented.
- Steward implementation of site safety, quality and emergency response plans.
- Produce and distribute daily activity reports.
- Validate and endorse Contractor daily reports.
- Ensure that vessel downtimes are tracked and documented.
- Manage Offshore Construction Supervisors
- Monitor vessel condition / readiness and reports any defects or concerns to the Construction Manager.
- Monitor Contractor performance and ensure specs are met and approved procedures are followed.
- Assist Brownfield verification team when on a visit
- Make weekly visits to all work locations (platforms) and barges to assure good productivity and work force compliance with the Company safety expectations.
- Work with Superintendents to ensure alignment on all works to be performed and any upcoming projects.
- Attend all offshore pre-job kickoff meetings with MPN Operations.
- Must be at all locations prior to any critical lifts.
- Communicate with the MPN Installation Engineers to assure all documents needed for each Project are available for Supervisors on Locations
- Work through Superintendents with resolving this issue
