Our client is a world class first tier contractor has a portfolio of pipeline projects above and beyond that of its competitors. In order to continue its growth, whilst maintaining excellent levels of delivery, a QA/QC Manager is required to join its operational team.
Requirements And Duties:
· Manage & Direct QA/QC support to specific Pipeline Projects Network with Quality Managers, QA/QC Engineers, QC Inspectors, Materials Engineers, HSE Advisors, Independent Verification Authorities and Contractor to ensure service requirements are met Interfaces with: Project Managers & Engineers QA/QC Engineers QC Inspectors Materials Engineers HSE Advisors
· Responsibilities Carry out the project specific quality control and assurance activities as detailed in the Project Quality Plan and as directed and instructed by the Pipeline Project Management Team
· Coordinate and direct field inspection activities Organise and control a number of Field/Package inspectors
· Review and approve Supplier/Subcontractor Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test plans and procedures.
· Ensure Review, Witness and Monitor activities are conducted as per the approved Suppliers/Sub-contractors Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test Plans Manage and control Norwegian sector licences and consents register
· Be fully familiar with the verification and inspection release processes and ensure their compliance Attend kickoff meetings with Supplier/Subcontractor Monitor close out of Supplier/Subcontractor non conformances Review Supplier/Subcontractor Fabrication/Certification Dossiers
· Assist in the undertaking of both internal and external audit activities as requested
· To participate (as necessary) in management visits/audits to Suppliers and Subcontractors
· To report promptly to the Project Manager all matters related to Project Quality Management System performance Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified and retained in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
· Provide input and support the subcontractor/supplier evaluation processes and monitor subcontractor/supplier performance
· Provide performance data as requested for reporting purposes
· Experience in quality control and quality assurance within the Pipeline Projects domain. Conversant with the preparation of Quality Assurance Plan and Formats, based on specifications and data sheets for construction as well as those required for engineering procurement purposes.
· Conversant with work procedures involved in Pipeline laying and plant work, in according with Australian installation standards
· Conversant with the statutory safety requirements as per Australian standards
· Must have experience in Pipeline welding inspection.
· Reviewing and approving Quality Plans and inspections Experience in dealing with leading operators, contractors and vendors Developing & Controlling Quality documents such as Contract Quality Plan, Quality Control Plan, Method statements and approval from Client
· Office and site based experience
· A strong pipeline project portfolio
· Strong planning, administrative qualities.
· Site supervisor skills
