Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for financial leadership and controllership of the Oil & Gas Businesses in Venezuela:
- Income statement and balance sheet.
- Take care of all the controllership related activities (Acc rec, eCivi, eCompliance, S2G…)
- Work closely with the operating team to develop SII, OP, Estimates, etc., while providing FP&A timely information as requested.
- Interface with ITO team to help ensure appropriate cost estimates, tax structure. All lessons learned are considered in evaluating new deals.
- Provide analysis and leadership to help drive decisions to improve contribution margin drivers, reduce base cost & ensure assets are appropriately accounted for.
- Work closely with Project Managers to develop and manage project budgets and estimates. Provide financial leadership to the operations to drive productivity, identify risks and opportunities and take action.
- Ensure appropriate accounting of revenue, costs and assets.
- Identify foreign currency exposure and manage appropriately.
- Lead External and Internal Financial Audits.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance
- At least 5 years accounting/finance related experience
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Computer proficiency
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Knowledge of Oracle and/or JDE
