Description:
 
[Company] is seeking a Communications/Marketing Specialist to drive the Request for Proposal process for sales bids, as well as to be responsible for the coordination and execution of the Company's marketing and communications initiatives.   Reporting into the Vice President - Sales, the candidate will be a strong technical liaison between Sales, Marketing and Engineering. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:  
 
  • Gathering the technical requirements and components for RFPs from the Sales Team.
  • Determining proposal formats and lay-outs in order to fulfill our client's requirements while maintaining a look consistent with the corporate marketing objectives.
  • Editing and revising content in order to ensure document flow both from a literary and technical perspective.
  • Continually researching best practices regarding RFP writing and format in order to be an industry leader.
  • Documenting the RFP process and ensure that all related departments understand the process.
  • Assisting the Manager - Marketing and Communications in the execution of the Company's communications activities.
  • Providing coordination and execution of the Company's tradeshow/conference activities.
  • Coordinating the development of advertising/marketing campaigns to support specific strategies.
  • Coordinating the development of marketing collateral.
  • Working closely with key [Company] stakeholders, research, write and distribute both internal and external communications such as press releases, case studies, Intranet articles, etc.
  • Utilizing graphic experience and complying with [Company]'s established guidelines to develop the final published documents.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Communications or Marketing degree or diploma or equivalent work experience in technical writing and public relations.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a marketing position.
  • Team oriented professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Experience within the Oil and Gas industry is an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Proficiency in graphics software, such as Photoshop is a strong asset.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
