[Company] is in an independent privately owned company. The refinery operates an advanced lube oil re-refinery at [Location] using advanced technologies to produce a range of very pure base oil products from recovered (recycled) lubrication oils. The re-refinery also produces as by-products a range of fuel oils.
They are currently seeking team orientated enthusiastic individuals to register their interest in becoming Trainee Plant Operators as positions become available in the near future.
Trainee Plant Operators work on shift under the supervision of Senior Plant Operators and assist in the operation of the refinery to ensure the safe, efficient and effective manufacture of quality base motor oils and by-products from used oil.
After successful completion of initial training and a probationary period (~3 months) Trainee Plant Operators will be promoted to Plant Technician.
Ideal candidates have worked in a manufacturing environment either as an operator or in a technical/trade role. Qualifications in a technical area or in a trade will be well regarded. They have sound verbal and written communication skills (HSC level) and a basic knowledge of computers and software.
This is a hands-on environment where people “pitch in” to ensure that the business is successful and to share in the rewards. Accredited training in safety, hydrocarbon process plant operations and materials handling is provided.
There is a defined career structure at the refinery which employees have the opportunity to progress through. The shift roster and leave provisions provide for a good work life balance.
