Responsibilities:
· Contribute to the coordination and preparation of field development plan and supporting documentation
· Responsible for constructing drilling prognosis for exploration and development wells, including the design of casing and tubing programs as required
· Responsible for daily reporting requirements which are accurate and completed on time
· Review mud programs and check mud inventory to ensure adequate supplies are on hand
· Ensure that all casing, consumable and service company personnel are in place or will be in place to avoid unnecessary downtime
· Support the day to day operations, ensuring lessons learnt are systematically captured recorded and incorporated into future programmes in order to continuously improve the performance and safety of operations
· Control the data and information from site are correct and consistent with operations ongoing, in order to ensure the database is reliable
Skills / Experience Required:
· 5+ years experience in drilling engineering
· Must have current Well Control Certification (BOP)
· Demonstrate ability to perform appropriate calculations involving hydraulics, weights and pressure
· Familiar with methods and procedures relevant to the procurement of goods and services applicable to well construction activities
· Familiarity with casing design, directional drilling design, hydraulics, torque and drag verifications, drilling optimisation techniques
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· High computer literacy
