Detailed Description
The Senior Manager, Labour Relations is accountable for developing and executing a Labour Relations strategy to enable EPCOR's long term business success.
Specific accountabilities include:
Developing constructive relations with Unions;
Planning for and conducting collective bargaining;
Developing and managing processes for the effective resolve of labour relations disputes and disagreements, including policy grievances, jurisdictional issues, arbitrations, labour board applications, or legal challenges;
Consulting with internal stakeholders on related Labour Relations matters.
The Senior Manager, Labour Relations is accountable to the Director, Human Resources.
Job Requirements
Position requirements:
As the successful candidate, you have a post secondary degree in Business, Economics, HR Management or a related area.
You bring extensive and diversified labour relations experience including planning for and conducting collective bargaining in a multi-union environment, as well as an understanding of current legislation, jurisprudence and best practices related to labour relations, employee relations, discipline, discharge and related LR matters.
You are experienced in strategy development from a wholistic HR perspective, and have advanced negotiation, dispute resolution, facilitation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
You are able to manage projects, work cross functionally and build consensus, and consult with clients and internal HR stakeholders.
You proactively identify business challenges and the LR implications affecting those challenges, and deliver LR solutions to enable business success.
You are an effective team player who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, and are able to manage change.
