Introduction:
 
Due to continued success our client is looking for an experienced Oil & Gas professional with proven experience in welding processes and certification. The successful candidate will need to have experience of subsea pipeline welding / submerged welding
 
 
Job Specification:
 
Our client is a technology based organisation working with clients worldwide, building oil and gas pipelines and systems where welding performance is key to success.
 
They project manage and execute the completion of medium sized or technically challenging construction projects where welding, lining or hi – tech production and inspection technologies are central to the viability of the project.
 
In line with the industry’s continued expansion of the use of alternative acceptance criteria, a newly created position for a Mechanical Integrity Manager has evolved.
 
Reporting to Director of the Welding and Materials Technology, you will have responsibility for leading and developing the company’s Engineering Criticality Assessment capabilities.
 
 
Skills and Abilities:
 
  • The successful candidate will have current/recent working experience with “fitness for purpose” Fracture Mechanics Applications including the use of related software programs such as ‘Crackwise’ or ‘Flawpro’.
  • You will be familiar with BS 7190 and related British, Norwegian, and American Pipeline Codes.
  • A working knowledge of DNV OS RP F108 is desirable for this role and a familiarity with conducting ECAs for subsea pipeline construction, installation and operations would be advantageous.
 
 
Education and Qualifications:
 
  • Applicants will possess a relevant degree as a minimum.
  • Our client can offer an excellent remuneration and benefit packages.
  • Based in [Location] - a generous relocation package is available, alternatively local accommodation could be provided if weekly commuting would be more suitable.
