Our client, an innovative and highly sought after energy group, has a current need for an experienced Geologist with a key focus on proving up reserves across existing fields coupled with some exciting new acreage.
As a result of continued growth and the acquisition of new tenements here in Australia and Internationally, this has brought about an immediate need for a Senior Geologist to work out of the [Location] office.
Reporting to the Exploration Manager, the Senior Geologist is responsible for:
· Active involvement in identifying exploration potential
· Have involvement designing and implementing exploration programs
· Take a lead role across Geo-Modelling functions
· Support the exploration team to certify resourceful examination and appraisal of geological, geophysical and drilling information
· Provide a geological mentoring and coaching role for less experienced staff to build the capability of the exploration team
As the successful candidate, your background and qualifications will include:
· Tertiary qualifications in Geology or related discipline
· Extensive experience within a similar capacity, preferably gained within the CSG or Coal sector
· Proven competence using VULCAN software
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
