Job Description 
Our client, an organization in the industrial manufacturing sector with aggressive plans for growth, is looking for a senior corporate development executive with the ability to spearhead cultural change within the organization.   
 
In this challenging role you will report directly to the President and be responsible for ensuring that the company's management services are aligned with overall strategy. As a key member of the executive team you will help to develop strategy and coordinate initiatives that are consistent with strategic direction. Essentially, you will become the driving force for cultural change that will lead to growth.
 
Required Skills:
  • As a champion of change management you will work with the executive team and managers to set the agenda and define the goals for key areas such as Human Resources and IT.
  • You will also facilitate the implementation of organizational management systems that promote teamwork, leadership skills and personal development.
  • With your extensive experience in manufacturing you will have a keen understanding of the costs - Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) - of doing business in the manufacturing sector, and ensure that operations meet regulatory requirements.
  • You will also make sure that regular inspections are carried out and that employees work in a safe environment with the proper training and tools.
  • An outstanding communicator, you are adept at conveying the benefits of change and continuous improvement to all stakeholders.
  • You also have the ability to act as a mentor and coach. Leading by example, you understand that your personal style and approach are a reflection of the culture you are promoting

 
Education and Experience
  • To succeed in this crucial position you must have previous experience in a similar capacity at other project oriented, high value, industrial manufacturing organizations, along with a P. Eng. Degree (an MBA would be an asset).
  • Certification as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt would be highly beneficial, providing you with the technical proficiency and mentoring skills required to lead the integration of six sigma methodology into the corporate culture.
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
