As a Survey CAD Technician you will report to the Mapping and Drafting Manager and be responsible for:
- Compiling information from multiple sources to provide hard copy and digital maps and facility plans for the oil and gas industry
- Produce maps and plans using CAD programs
- Manage your time to complete the projects in accordance with regulatory and client deadlines
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years Alberta oilfield drafting experience
- Thorough knowledge of current AutoCAD Map 3D
- Ability to interpret survey plans/documents
- Desire to pursue a long-term career in a dynamic, supportive environment
- Working Knowledge of:
- Online search tools (LSAS, IHS, SPIN II etc…)
- Drafting plans in unsurveyed territory
- Alberta public lands, Land Surface Disposition requirements
- Energy Resources Conservation Board “Directive 56”
- Alberta Land Surveyors Association “Manual of Standard Practice”
- Supplement to the Manual of Instructions for the Survey of Canada Lands (blue book)
