Role synopsis
To lead the development of marketing strategy and tactics for the B2B segment encompassing all elements of offer development through to delivery in accordance with the [Company] strategy.
 
Key accountabilities
To develop, execute and manage:
  • Customer offers for the sector and ensure their deliverability through alignment externally with customers / prospects and internally through sales, technical, logistics, operations, supply.
  • Marketing plans for the sector including budget allocation and cost management.
  • Marketing Communications for the sector (ATL, BTL – directories, print, web) and promotional activities including customer event.
  • Promotions and communications that must adhere to the BP brand guidelines and reflect the brand values.
  • All market, customer and competitor research for the sector (and [Company] if applicable).
  • Ongoing monitoring of the customer base to ensure offer acceptability and inform offer improvement process.
  • Ensure the availability of information and materials to all internal staff and external teams as appropriate for offer delivery.
  • Liaise with trade associations that represent the gas industry and targeted B2B sectors; on occasion representing [Company].
 
Essential criteria & qualifications
  • The ideal candidate should have a relevant degree and a qualification in Marketing.
  • Able to analyse and understand marketplaces to gain thorough understanding of customer needs and associated benefits and then mobilise company resources to meet them.
  • Good planning and organization skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Must work as an individual with own accountabilities and also be able to contribute skills to the team.
  • A good influencer with strong communication skills and an ability to deliver clear messages to customers/ prospects and internal stakeholders.
 
Desirable criteria & qualifications
  • Ideally candidates will have three to five years Marketing experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience of marketing management process (development and implementation using all elements of the marketing mix) of promotional campaigns.
  • Experience in e-commerce and web site management.
  • Demonstrated experience of working directly with sales teams and their customers/ prospects to develop, deliver and execute marketing offers.
