Job Description:
The Job Process Coordinator will be primarily responsible for processing customer orders taking into consideration the functions involved in shop fabrication operations, engineering services and quality document control requirements. 
 
Division:  Fabrication
Reports To:  Business Manager
 
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years customer service-related experience in a fabrication/manufacturing or similar environment
  • Working knowledge of functions involved in shop fabrication operations, engineering services and quality document control requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and understand drawings, fabrication specifications and bill of materials
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word and database applications
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to interact with individuals internally and externally at various organizational levels
  • Ability to manage occasional heavy workloads with time sensitive deadlines, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting project objectives
  • Demonstrated dependability and self-motivation to work on projects; take initiative to resolve problems; understand resources available and use resources effectively to generate solutions
 
Job Functions:
  • Review customer order, engineering drawings, and quality document control requirements for fabrication.
  • Consult with internal departments and regions regarding any questions, clarifications or additional information as needed.
  • Process job and complete job traveler package requirements ensuring that all customer requirements are met. Review for accuracy and completeness.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential rework or scheduling problems.
  • Act as liaison between customer and internal departments to keep all parties informed of issues that may impact customer performance expectations.
  • Manage ship list changes and revisions for immediate access to current ship list files.
  • Provide job costing backup support for Business Manager.
  • Observe and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other related responsibilities and special projects as directed.
 
Special Requirements:
Occasional exposure to a shop environment, which includes outside temperatures and conditions, loud noises, fumes, odors and potential safety hazards. Occasional overtime may be required.
