The Position
The production supervisor is in charge of the daily operation of the platform’s process systems, utility systems and safety systems. The production supervisor manages all activities performed on the platform via the permit to work system. He is in charge of the platform’s control room and manages production teams of 8-10 employees. Furthermore, the production supervisor has the overall responsibility for training of new production personnel.
Besides on-the-job training offshore, the candidate will have to attend a number of courses which cover safety related as well as technical training. Depending on the candidate’s background and experience, the training period will be approximately 12 months.
Development Opportunities
After being fully trained as production supervisor and having acquired the necessary skills and competences, there are several career paths: Other supervisory positions such as Technical Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor, similar positions abroad, entering the Platform Supervisor training programme or onshore positions at a higher level, both in Denmark and internationally.
Qualifications
- The candidate should have an educational background as engineer, marine engineer or other relevant education.
- Experience from e.g. maritime duty, power station, process industry, control room operation related to technical process etc. will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in both Danish and English is a prerequisite.
