Be part of one of the largest integrated energy projects in Queensland’s history. This multi-billion dollar investment will see coal seam gas (CSG) piped from world class fields to Gladstone where it will be converted to liquefied natural gas (LNG). Santos is embarking on a world first project to develop an LNG facility in Gladstone in partnership with PETRONAS, and this development will enable Santos to take coal seam gas to international gas markets.
 
Reporting to the Team Leader Logistics Queensland your main focus is to develop the Materials Management & Logistics plan for the Operational Phase of the GLNG (Gladstone LNG Project) and assist sub-project teams in understanding the proposed logistics chains of the project EPC Contractors and impact on the final outcome. Furthermore you will be tasked with conducting analysis of the Supply Chain to identify systems options which will aid in the development of a Supply Chain Capability plan. You will also ensure that an integrated Logistics system is developed; taking into account the needs of the existing operation, project requirements and future business needs post project.
 
Accountabilities:
·         Develop and implement a Supply Chain capability platform for existing and future Logistics providers. Consideration must be given to reverse Logistics needs post project.
·         Ensure alignment of the GLNG Project teams, EQ Operations and the CSG Drilling & Completions Materials Management and Logistics requirements throughout all phases of the project
·         Develop an understanding of the existing operational requirements and linkages into the GLNG Project to ensure post project operability is maintained.
·         Provide technical advice to the GLNG Project teams in relation to the effectiveness of the EPC contractors Material Management & Logistics strategies to ensure integration with the existing Logistics systems.
·         Develop and respond to GLNG Project specific RFI’s, such as cost assumptions/modelling, benchmarking, auditing, methodology and compliance testing.
·         Multi-modal (Sea, Air, Road and Rail) Logistics planning methodology and analysis for the GLNG Project.
·         Assist appropriate stakeholders with EHS&S and regulatory issues that may arise. (e.g. Port Authorities, Australian Customs Service, AQIS, Queensland Transport, DOTARS etc.)
·         Ensure that all linkages are maintained within the SPL framework and in particular the Logistics function in the areas of Inventory Management, Warehousing and Distribution.
 
Qualifications:
·         Degree qualified in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management
·         Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing qualifications
·         Process/value mapping analysis
·         Oracle or SAP ERP/MRP experience
 
Ideally you will have a proven track record of evaluating and implementing Materials Management and Logistics Strategies within the Oil & Gas, Mining or large scale infrastructure/ construction project experience. You will also have a strong ability to work within a project team environment and deliver key milestone & KPI requirements in accordance with the project schedule.
