Key accountabilities
  • To define and lead the implementation of competence assurance through CMAS and its supporting database, Ican. CMAS is the primary process advised by the Safety Operations function to enable SPUs (Strategic Performance Units) to demonstrate they both have a competent workforce and have training programs identified to address any skills gaps. In the first instance, this will be a fixed-term project role.
  • Support First Level Leaders in the FPSO Competency Program on planning, risk ranking and targeting CMAS Units/Elements.
  • To work closely with the E&P Operations Learning & Development team to learn from best practices and to contribute to the QA of CMAS and associated training services.
  • To carry out ongoing needs analysis of training options for the offshore team.
  • Set up and manage relevant Technical training for the offshore team.
  • Project manage implementation of competence assurance program
  • Develop long term CMAS implementation strategy including adequate resourcing to achieve targets.
  • Implementation of the Ican database.
  • Support in the development of local documentation e.g. role profiles, training and assessment plans.
  • Coordinate local delivery of Coaching & Assessor training to support implementation of CMAS.
  • Provide support and feedback to CMAS Assessors.
  • Provide support and feedback to CMAS discipline Coaches.
  • Provide or coordinate local internal verification process.
  • To lead the Competence Assurance requirements for the FPSO through CMAS and its supporting database, Ican. CMAS is the primary process advised by the Safety Operations function to enable SPUs (Strategic Performance Units) to demonstrate they both have a competent workforce and have training programs identified to address any skills gaps.
  • Support and Coach the discipline CMAS Asset Coaches in CMAS.
  • Coordinate with First Level Leaders in the Competency Program on planning, risk ranking and targeting CMAS Units/Elements.
  • Advise and manage relevant Technical training for the offshore team.
  • Maintain HSE compliance at all stages of the work scope
  • Implement all relevant policies and procedures as defined within the Operations Management System.
 
Essential criteria & qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Safe systems of Work including permit to work, operations integrity, planning and risk assessments.
  • Experience in working with vendors and performance feedback.
  • Experience in working with different cultures
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Multi Discipline Technical expertise within the offshore oil environment.
  • Strong influencing ability to engage colleagues at all levels in the organization particular in respect to Competency requirements.
  • Exemplary in Coaching skills in a highly challenging work environment.
  • Proven experience in CMAS program as a Verifier/Assessor.
  • Natural ability to coach and develop people in Technical, HSSE and Behavior.
  • Degree Level or relevant experience and strong supervisory skills are essential.
  • Proven experience in CMAS program, implementation CMAS at Site.
  • 10 years experience in a relevant discipline i.e. Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical or Process.
