Key accountabilities
  • The position reports to the onshore Production team lead and is responsible for the implementation and management of the Production Efficiency Improvement common process. There will be a secondary reporting line to the Offshore Engineer who will be accountable for day to day application of the PEI common process.
  • Main accountabilities are expected to be:
  • Take responsibility as a role model for Health safety and Environmental commitments and demonstrate the required leadership to the Operations team.
  • Asset accountable position for Implementation of the Production Efficiency Improvement common process.
  • Actively manage the development, mentoring and competency sign off of Angolan technicians to ultimately succeed there Expat colleagues.
  • Ownership of all Sources and Causes of production loss.
  • Ownership of all remedial actions to mitigate the source and cause of production loss.
  • Develop system to monitor asset operating efficiency against the installed production capacity.
  • Develop improvements to allow production to move beyond IPC to the Theoretical Production capacity or Technical limit.
  • Offshore focal point for operations excellence and performance efficiency.
 
Essential criteria & qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of Safe systems of Work including permit to work, maintenance management systems, sparing strategies, planning.
  • Extensive knowledge of the risk assessment process.
  • Five years relevant operations or engineering experience spent in an oil industry environment.
  • Fully conversant with the Production Efficiency Improvement common process.
  • Discipline background with a minimum HNC or relevant operational experience.
  • Knowledge of the principals and application of Integrity management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven record of coaching and mentoring.
  • Proven coaching and engagement skills with a track record of developing technicians.
 
Desirable criteria & qualifications
  • Experience in working with different cultures.
  • Basic knowledge of well operations and reservoir issues.
  • Experience of major project operational readiness.
