Key accountabilities
- Manage the day-to-day Subsea equipment, infrastructure and field intervention vessel activities relating to the installation. Required to keep the facility in regulatory compliance with regards to emission and discharge constraints. Provide leadership and direction for the operations and support team to ensure delivery of production and water Injection targets
- Ensuring the operational reliability and availability of equipment.
- Ensuring the facility is in compliance with all regulations with regards to discharge and emission criteria.
- Provide HSE leadership to the Overall Operations and Maintenance teams.
- Lead day to day planning and execution of all sub sea related activities.
- Development and competency sign off of the Angolan engineers/technicians.
- Ensuring the facility is in compliance with all sub sea start up, operating and intervention policies and procedures.
- Ensuring the operational reliability and availability of equipment.
- Manage all support vendors for sub sea activities.
- Act as part of the emergency response team in line with the installation requirements.
- Respond to equipment Breakdowns and ensure equipment is prepared, and isolated to the required standard (ISSOW/SIRP).
- Lead the mentoring and competence assessment requirements for the national work force (subsea).
- Assist in implementation of the Offshore Technical Integrity strategy.
Essential criteria & qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of control to work and risk assessment processes.
- Knowledge of integrity management standards and requirements.
- Knowledge of pipeline integrity monitoring systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Sub Sea equipment and systems.
- Experience in subsea control systems.
- Experience in managing ROV operations.
- Experience in sub sea well commissioning.
- Experience in managing well performance and optimisation.
- Proven coaching skills with a track record of developing technicians.
- 7 years experience in the subsea or related industry.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Offshore Operations on a Floating, Production Storage & offloading installation inclusive of tandem mooring.
- Experience in working with different cultures.
- Experience of major project commissioning.
- Experience of major project operational readiness.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills required to manage major incidents and emergencies.
