Key accountabilities
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facilities telecommunications and IT equipment as directed by the E&I Supervisor. Maintain compliance with all aspects of the Vessel HSE requirements, including CoW and maintenance/technical integrity management tools
- Maintain HSE compliance at all stages of the work scope.
- Lead day to day planning and execution of all telecomms and IT activities.
- Assist in the development and competency sign off of the Angolan technicians.
- Support Instrument Team for training, development and competence assessment of the Angolan Technician trainees.
- Participate in task base risk assessments and provide technical input (telecomms and IT) where necessary.
- Act as part of the Emergency Response Team member as required.
- Respond to equipment Breakdowns and ensure work is executed in line with ISSOW/SIRP standards.
- Assist in implementation of the Offshore Technical Integrity strategy.
- A knowledge of Maintenance management principals and Planning process is required.
Essential criteria & qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive knowledge of Safe systems of Work including permit to work and risk assessment process.
- Extensive knowledge of telecommunications systems.
- Recognised qualification in telecommunications systems.
- Experience of radio and satellite systems.
- Experience and knowledge of IT systems.
- Experience in emergency response role.
- Experience in telemetry communication system.
- 7 years experience in the telecommunications industry.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Offshore Operations on a Floating, Production Storage & offloading installation inclusive of tandem mooring.
- Experience in working with different cultures.
- Experience of major project commissioning.
- Experience of major project operational readiness.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills required to manage major incidents and emergencies.
