The Basis Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the work carried out by a 3rd party Basis team based in [Location] and offshore. The Basis Team Lead will report into the programme manager and provide assurance that the correct controls and best practices are in place to meet operational integrity.
Key accountabilities
• Manage the Basis team in [Location] and offshore to provide support for development, test and production environments
• Perform SAP System Performance and Capacity planning for future requirements
• Provide quality assurance and Security Procedures for the SAP Environments
• Provide 24x7 support for our production environment
• Manage the relationship with 2nd line support and stakeholders to ensure a continuous service
• Define appropriate organisation and staffing requirements within budget and headcount constraints
• Ensuring delivery of people basics, including coaching, developing and appraising [Company] permanent direct reports
• Managing relationship with suppliers including our outsourcing partners
• Communication of the programme plans to stakeholders.
• Support integration of other company and 3rd Party applications in the SAP Landscape
• Apply SAP Hot Packs and OSS Notes as required
• Manage the Transport Management System and execute transports as required
Essential criteria & qualifications
• Successful experience with SAP implementations and support of production environments
• Experience supporting development, staging/test, and production systems
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; strong teamwork orientation
• Knowledge of R3 4.7, BW 3.5 and XI 3.0
• Experience of Transport Management System (TMS), System Landscape Directory (SLD) and System Monitoring (CCMS)
• Knowledge of SAP authorisation concepts, role based security and user administration
• Sound knowledge of ABAP, Oracle DBA and Solaris Unix
