The HR Advisor is responsible for ensuring the effective development and delivery of HR solutions, processes and services to support the high performance and growth of the business.
The HR Advisor reports to the HR Manager, Global Technology and Acetyls Europe.
The HRA will be an active member of a nominated client group within Acetyls Europe and Acetyls & Aromatics Technology responsible for driving the implementation of the people agenda.
The HR Advisor will advise and coach line managers in the implementation of the people agenda and all staff related issues. Line managers will be from all levels in the organisation ranging from operational supervisors to Group Leaders.
The HR Advisor will develop networks within the wider HR Function to assist them in effectively driving the people agenda within the business.
The HR Advisor will deputise for the HR Manager in external HR networks with a view to sharing and benchmarking best practice, keeping abreast of local issues impacting on the workplace.
Key accountabilities
The HR Advisor is responsible for:
Business Partnership
• Partnering with the business to drive the defined HR agenda that will contribute to the achievement of the desired business performance
• Establish strong “go to” relationship with senior leadership and their teams for advice and solutions.
Organisational Capability and Resourcing
• Execute the resourcing strategy for the business, managing the recruitment of talent internally and externally and ensuring seamless delivery of the resourcing process.
• Facilitate the talent management and succession planning agenda and maintain focus of line managers on the development of emerging leaders.
• Coach team leaders and employees on appropriate individual development solutions.
Perfomance Management and Reward
• Maximise the performance of the organisation through the application and coaching of effective performance management.
• Ensure consistency and performance differentiation in the reward and remuneration decisions.
• Maintain awareness of competitive position of the reward offer within the market place.
HR Operations
• Provide broad HR operational support to the client group
Employee Relations
• Coach and guide line managers in handling employee relations.
• Proactively participate and support the Employee Forum to secure positive employee relations.
• Monitor impending legislation change and identify any potential risk, to the business.
Diversity & Inclusion
• Support the implementation of the A&A SPU D&I agenda.
Essential criteria & qualifications
• Graduate or CIPD qualified
• Progressively responsible HR Generalist experience in business partnering role.
• Numerate
Desirable criteria & qualifications
• Experience of a manufacturing / technical environment an advantage.
