Key accountabilities
The position is responsible for the technical integrity of the installation through the implementation and management of the operations and maintenance philosophy. Also accountable for the compliance with environmental and emission targets as well as acting as department head for the safe system of work. Line management responsibility for the FPSO Operations and maintenance team.
- Take responsibility as a role model for Health safety and Environmental commitments and demonstrate the required leadership to the Operations team.
- Act as department head for the safe operation of all topside and subsea plant.
- Actively manage the development, mentoring and competency sign off of Angolan technicians Manage all support vendors within the Operations fields.
- Lead and manage daily production activities ensuring operational integrity is maintained and operation of the facilities is optimized.
- Own the offshore planning process at the 6 and 2 week levels to ensure all maintenance activities are optimized.
- Fulfill the role of Deputy Installation manager for emergency response purposes and when necessary deputies for the OIM position.
- Liaise directly with members of the onshore support team and vendors in the resolution of issues / problems.
- To ensure process system Integrity is maintained responsible for ensuring that all planned maintenance scope for the topside, subsea and wells equipment is completed in a timely manner.
- Participate in the development of budgets and budget control mechanisms to ensure budget targets are met.
- Work with the marine department, terminal superintendent and onshore production team leader to support the management of cargo offloading operations.
- Offshore focal point for operations excellence and performance efficiency.
Essential criteria & qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of Safe systems of Work including permit to work and risk assessment process,
- Extensive knowledge in maintenance management systems and sparing strategies
- Detailed knowledge of planning process
- Five years offshore experience spent in Supervisory or leadership roles.
- Experience of operating topside and subsea equipment.
- Knowledge of well operations and topside processing equipment
- 10 years experience in an offshore oil and gas industry role
- Knowledge of the principals and application of Integrity management.
- Proven coaching skills with a track record of developing technicians.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Experience in working with different cultures.
- Basic knowledge of well operations and reservoir issues.
- Experience in the development and delivery of maintenance management systems.
- Experience in working with vendors and performance feedback.
- Experience of major project operational readiness.
- Experience of commissioning and startup of major projects.
