Key accountabilities
- Supporting the well design process by predicting petrophysical properties such as pressure and other mechanical properties.
- Designing and executing optimal logging programs for exploration, appraisal and production wells, consistent with our Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies.
- Monitoring and optimizing drilling performance during well operations to ensure safe operations.
- Providing technical support in the optimal use of seismic rock properties for exploration, development and reservoir management. This includes seismic modeling to predict rock properties, analysis of AVO and inversion, and 4D time lapse seismic evaluation.
- Performing petrophysical analysis by integrating data and working closely with asset petrotechnical staff to derive reservoir models for reservoir simulation, helping to drive depletion strategies and optimize flow and ultimate recovery.
- Providing coaching to staff.
- Playing a significant role in influencing and eventually helping to steer various networks and technology projects through the promotion of best practices as well as contributing to existing/new research and development.
Essential criteria & qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the
- on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a Geoscience or related engineering discipline.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to facilitate and leverage knowledge transfer within and between the exploration, development and production Business Units.
- The ability to integrate a variety of data and information into an exceptional interpretation of the subsurface.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Good post graduate industry related experience.
- Experience for working within an operating company.
