At [Company], our Quality Assurance Analyst's/Developers play a critical role. In this role you will design, plan and implement test strategies to support and validate new functionality and change in our software applications. You will define standards for development test scripts, deployment and reuse. You will develop test plans and will execute against them, validating that requirements, changes and enhancements meet our high quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, query and update data from RDBMS systems such as Oracle and SQL.
- Install, update and deploy and test J2EE applications on Weblogic and Tomcat.
- Define and implement quality process improvements using proven test methodologies
- Develop QA plans and test harnesses and execute manual and automated test procedures
- Perform functional, integration and regression testing
- Interact with colleagues in software engineering and product support teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues
- Assist Software Developers/Engineers in root cause analysis
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a Senior QA Analyst or QA Developer role
- Undergraduate degree in computer science or engineering preferred, we will consider candidates with an equivalent combination of post secondary education and experience
- Strong working knowledge of J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL/SQA procedures
- Exceptional communication skills both oral and written
- Demonstrated to work independently and as part of a team
