The Mechanical Welder is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan and meet day-to-day short-term objectives.
Assist in the effective utilization of available manpower and machine resources for all repair, overhaul, and servicing jobs in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Visit offshore installations and other countries within the region to carry out onsite welding and fabrication.
Essential Responsibilities
- Read and understands engineering drawings & specifications.
- Assist in training Angolan national welders
- Proficient in Welding processes Submerged Arc WeldingW, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, and Coded to 6G
- Skilled in fabrication of pipework and framework.
- Set up, Monitor and weld the components within the parameters of the specific weld procedure.
- Adhere to Company quality procedures.
- Compile & record traceability record sheets
- Adhere to Company SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL policies.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Fully time served with C&G/ or S/NVQ levels 2 or 3.
- Experience of using Tig, Mig, SMAW and Sub Arc welding machine with the 9000 controls.
- Experience of welding using the Fronius ETR system
