Your primary goal will be to take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of a set of managed IT services. We emphasize the importance of getting to know the entire global organization, so some travel activity will be expected.
The strong link between IT and business
Your overall responsibility will be to enter into dialogue with key business owners and match their expectations with IT services. The operations, hosting and support for the majority of MDIS are outsourced, so you will be instrumental in managing our services by building relationships with the business and suppliers. Based on your dialogue with our stakeholders, you have a full understanding of the business requirements for your IT services. Subsequently, you are responsible for involving the Design & Architecture staff as to create technical solutions that meet the business needs.
Your responsibilities also cover negotiating SLAs between MDIS and business owners for each of the IT services. On an ongoing basis, you also observe and evaluate supplier performance. Lastly, you will set up and chair regular services and supplier reviews. Consequently, this position enables you to play a proactive role in the MDIS department, and you will gain an immense contact base within our for business units and externally through suppliers, vendors and all other [Company] business units.
Convincing communicator with technological talent
Presumably you have an IT background from a university or university college. Your 5-10 years of experience have provided you with a strong technological understanding of a wide range of technologies, products and vendors. Preferable you hold knowledge of ITIL, PRINCE2, PMI and are familiar with process optimization.
On a personal level, you are an experienced negotiator and convincing communicator in English. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to head meetings with several participants as well as address and persuade senior management.
