The Performance Analyst is an essential member of the Finance Lubricants Malaysia/Singapore Team, which is responsible for the performance management, reporting and control of the Lubricants operating units in Malaysia and Singapore. The successful candidate will be directly involved in supporting the Lubricants businesses for Malaysia / Singapore. He or she must be performance biased, have strong accounting, analytical and IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Key accountabilities
- Pro-active engagement with Sales & Marketing / Supply Chain Management to support performance of the business.
- Preparation and reporting of management information (MI), including monthly performance slide packs and submission of financial performance results via internal MI system.
- Ensure effective financial systems, robust financial controls and compliance with standards, including review of the Balance Sheet Integrity (BSI).
- Responsible for the development of annual budgets, forecasts and strategic plan through working closely with the Sales & Marketing / Supply Chain teams and functional management, to coordinate the consolidation and submission.
- Business analysis, including fact-finding, financial modelling, sensitivity & “what-if” analysis, feasibility study, investment appraisal and creative solutions with applications and tools such as GL reports, ERP data downloads(JD Edwards), data warehouse reports, Excel Spreadsheets and interfaces with internal MI system.
- Assist in coordinating the collation and analysis of data in response to the Regional / ad-hoc inquiries, developments and requirements
Essential criteria & qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting; and / or recognized professional accounting qualification
Experience:
- Qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience and a minimum of 3 years experience, either in Audit/Accounting, Financial Analysis, Planning & Forecasting or Performance Management
Languages needed:
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Skillful and experience in handling and analysing large quantities of data through Excel spreadsheets.
