The Financial Systems Analyst offers excellent opportunities to develop strong IT and application support skills. The candidate will support and maintain the applications that are used by the Finance Team. The candidate also must possess the ability to coordinate efforts with businesses and external parties.
Key accountabilities
- Responsible for the effective and efficient provision of application maintenance and support for existing and new businesses and functions.
- Provide such application support to users of the systems.
- Draft and maintains procedures and documentation for applications support.
- Manage applications enhancements, especially non-SAP applications to improve business performance.
- Ensure all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures.
- Support and maintain MS Excel & Access applications – use of advanced functions and macros.
- Provide basic Visual Basic, C++ programming support.
- Coordinate and liaise with other IT team to support resolution of users’ IT technical specific problems.
- Provide as the contact to exploit the use of existing products and technologies used in [Company] to help users improve performance and productivity.
Essential criteria & qualifications
- 5 years Finance and IT experience in an MNC, and in ERP systems development and maintenance.
- Degree in Accounting and/or recognised professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA
- Strong IT knowledge in ERP systems, preferably SAP, MS Applications like Access and Excel, and web based applications.
- Skilful in the provision of application maintenance and support; from investigation and resolution of problems
- Ability to manage multiple/conflicting priorities with a strong track record of delivery.
- Strong command of written and spoken English language.
- Has substantial working experience on Financial systems in the last 2 years.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Able to travel to overseas for assignments.
- Able to support odd hour shifts if required.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Awareness and exposure to IT technical areas like internet applications & connectivity and products like business objects ,java, Netapp would be valuable.
- Working experience in the Finance and Accounting function in an MNC environment is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of SAP accounting systems.
