Job description
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• The job holder is responsible for:
• Supervising and directing specialists and the contractor during the installation and the connection of HVAC System and rotating equipment as required for the project.
• Ensure that the Installation and Construction Contractor execute the work in accordance with the approved Design and Project Codes and Standards.
• Participate in process safety management, including hazard identification and HAZOP activities.
• Coordinate and contribute to the resolution of any technical query issued by contractor during the execution of the work.
• Reviewing and keeping updated the project Basis of Design/Statement of Requirements for the relevant discipline.
• To ensure that all opportunities offered by introduction of new technologies are pursued and evaluated.
• Liaise with logistic for the out of gauge equipment.

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by following:
• Kazakhstan Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations
• Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and applying Safety Management Systems.
• Main Interfaces:
• Company
• The job holder has to:
• Interface with other departments (Full Field Development) and other team members (other technical disciplines, HSE, cost estimate)
External
The job holder has to:
• Work effectively with Contractors for the execution of Project
• Work with RoK technical staff, if required
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder must have:
• Degree in Mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrable experience (min. 10 years) and proven track record in offshore and onshore oil and gas project
• Fluent in English.
• Previous experience as a senior technical specialist within a team.
• Experience with sour gas and/or arctic environment and/or Former Soviet Union/Caspian would be an advantage.
Required Competencies
The job holder must have proven:
• Excellent technical abilities as a HVAC and Mechanical Engineer, particularly in relation to a full understanding of rotating equipment. Ability to define contractor scope of work and review work progress and reports.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills to include formal report writing, formal presentations and the ability to work with a wide range of personnel from a multi-cultural and multi-functional environment.
• Full understanding of HSE importance in planning and executing projects; Proactive approach to HSE issues and safety/hazard management.
• Demonstrable working knowledge of relevant technical codes and standards within the mechanical engineering discipline.
• Ability to write concise and well structured technical reports.
• Effectively communicate engineering issues to management and Partners.
• Ability to introduce, challenge and effectively integrate innovative technology.
