Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide and maintain an effective project control mechanism so that the project is directed to successful completion within the project program, quality and financial objectives, all in accordance with established procedures, policies & standards.
- Direct, controls and co-ordinates assigned project control staff.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with project team end users and support departments.
- Ensures project wide compliance with established corporate procedures and policies and the specific project control procedures and standards agreed for the project.
- Carries out regular checks and audits of the project control data and respective reports.
- Provides timely reports to Project Manager highlighting areas of concern.
- Initiates appropriate corrective action with concerned parties and monitor, performance.
- Attends Progress reviews and Principal Consultants, Contractors, End Users and Senior Management as required.
- Participates at the required level in training and development of Qatari Nationals.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 15 years in the oil and gas or process industry, minimum 10 years in project control with at least 5 years at Lead Engineer/Supervisor level.
- Direct work experience with both owner and Contractors is desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of Project Planning, Cost Estimating, Budget/Cost Control, Procurement, Material/Document control utilizing latest available computer applications.
- Degree/equivalent in engineering discipline.
- Well developed leadership and communication skills.
