Role Summary/Purpose:
The Quality Leader – Quality Management System will be the Global leadership of the D&PS Quality Management system and Documentum coordinating a cross-functional, cross-site approach. The QMS QL leader will own developing a plan to improve the internal VG and Hydril QMS during 2009-2010, the planning for the migration to the [Company] QMS, and execution of the migration.
Essential Responsibilities:
This role will coordinate closely with the O&G, and where necessary Energy, QMS leaders as well as the D&PS Regional QLs and functional leadership team necessary to drive successful improvements in our D&PS QMS.
Coordinate regional improvements to VG QMS and Hydril global QMS; facilitate regional QLs and functional leaders to identify gaps, develop and execute improved policies and procedures
Drive standardization across sites / regions where possible and utilize Energy QMS procedures where needed to fill gaps
Own move to [Company] Quality Management system facilitating approach with regions and functions – develop plan, timing, coordination with sites and functions
Own move to Documentum facilitating approach with regions and functions – develop plan, timing, coordination with sites and functions
Develop standard tracking mechanisms to measure status and progress by region (or site) for progress on QMS and Documentatum
Manage overall view of audits across D&PS – planning of Quads, tracking of timeliness of all audits within D&PS and status of action items
Develop training and communication plans for D&PS QMS updates, rollout of Energy QMS, and Documentum
Provide leadership for Auditor or customer discussions on QMS as needed
Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 additional years of proven experience in Quality Management systems – significant experience and proven ability in policy and procedure writing

Prior QA experience
