Role Summary/Purpose:
The Quality Leader – North America will be a member of regional leadership team driving cross-functional ownership of Quality, Simplification and Process Improvements. In this role, you will own the overall Quality Management System (QMS) for the Region and sites including a face to the customer, building credibility and confidence in our Quality processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist in mentoring region based Quality resources, demonstrating accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives
Provide Quality, simplification and process improvement leadership for region; participate on Region staff forums, highlight key quality issues, ongoing projects, and drive Quality accountability within region with Region leader
Identify potential process improvement projects and take leadership on managing cross-functional processes and drive improvements through multiple stakeholders
Own the Quality Management system (QMS) --- ensure each site has a well-constructed QMS, that incorporates the latest ISO and API requirements and is aligned with the Vetco and Hydril global QMS quality manuals; coordinate with D&PS QMS leader to drive required policy changes in region; ensure policies are accessible in common place
Coordinate move to [Company] QMS and Documentum within region and develop tracking mechanisms to measure progress
Lead / mentor functional quality team members in region; ensure alignment around Big Y’s
Analyze Region Customer Complaints (CCRs); create and manage strong operating rhythm for CCRs and track progress; communicate metrics and drive improvements
In conjunction with other Quality team members, serve as a change agent in institutionalizing Lean Six Sigma quality into Region organization
Be focal point for all internal and external audits; coordinate other Quality resources to best support audit efforts
Facilitate, train, and coach cross-functional employees in the use of Lean Six Sigma tools as appropriate
Own ISO and API certification renewals; understand requirements for certification renewal, timing, and own all improvement actions necessary to obtain re-certifications
Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 additional years of proven experience in a Process Improvement position
Minimum of 2 years experience with a Quality Management system; proven ability in policy and procedure writing

Proven track record in implementing change
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Prior leadership experience is preferred
Statistically literate and familiar with quality concepts and tools
Able to make executive level presentations
Ability to meet objectives by influencing and engaging others globally as required
Quality and cost driven
Prior QA experience
Fluency in Spanish, oral and written
