Our client is an international, integrated energy company and a Global Leader in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) innovations. They have the global resources and depth of experience to put your ideas in motion and fast track your career. Continued growth has created a new opportunity for a Senior Drilling Engineer to join their Perth [Location] team.
The near term focus of this role will be to plan the safe execution of the 2009/2010 development drilling program. This will include challenging high angle, high pressure development wells which require extensive planning, surveillance and continuous optimisation.
Reporting to the Lead Drilling Engineer, your main accountabilities will be:
· Engineering, planning and permitting aspects of drilling operations.
· Identifying equipment and services required to execute these drilling operations.
· Cost estimates, budgets and AFE’s.
· Incorporate lessons learned into operations.
· Take a lead role in performing risk assessments, third-party contractor audits and after-action reviews.
It is important that you have an Engineering degree with at least 10 year experience in the drilling engineering / operations environment and have experience with jack up and floating drilling operations and well intervention activities. Previous experience working with high deliverability, high deviation gas wells would be highly regarded and you must be able to pass and maintain your HUET qualifications.
