Position Overview:
This position is based in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Manager, Human Resources.  The Contract Recruiter has an integral role in the delivery of HR recruitment services for the U.S. Division.  The primary responsibility is the handling of the full life cycle of the recruitment process. 
 
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to develop job profiles and hiring strategies.
  • Develops job descriptions, requisitions, postings and advertisements as required.
  • Expediently sources, pre-screens, interviews and checks references of candidates.
  • Coaches hiring managers on the recruitment process and interview techniques.
  • Partners with hiring managers and the Manager, Human Resources in managing the selection process.
  • Networks, builds and maintains relationships with external providers and industry associations relevant to recruitment needs of the business.
  • Continually promotes [Company]  recruiting practices and recruiting excellence.
  • Tracks and reports on status of all recruitment activity, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements.
  • Maintains good working relationship with the HR team.
  • Processes required documentation through the HRIS system and approval processes.
  • Manages and coordinates all communication with candidates.
  • Manages the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Organizes, leads and documents post-interview feedback with interview teams and candidates.
  • Uses effective communication approaches that include proactively keeping others informed, appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form, and timeliness.
 
 
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources or related area and a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in oil and gas recruiting are highly preferred.  Must have solid experience in the full recruitment life cycle, as well as sound understanding of several HR disciplines and processes.  Excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and strong administrative and analytical skills are needed.  Ability to understand the business drivers and develop positive relationships with business managers and HR colleagues, with demonstrated ability to interact with personnel at all operational levels.  Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR information systems and experience with applicant tracking systems required.  PeopleSoft experience considered a plus.

Total Business Understanding: Knowledge and expertise in formulating competitive strategies and managing policies, practices, trends and information affecting the total business.
