JOB SCOPE
Execute Ream with Casing (RwC) and Drilling with Casing (DwC) field services role in the reaming, drilling and setting of casing or liner for oil or gas wells. Area of operation will be within Asia Pacific or as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out Reaming & Drilling with Casing operations on the rig site.
- Ensure that the desired casing and target objectives are achieved.
- Supervise casing running / reaming / drilling, figuring bit hydraulics, sting weights, rate of penetration, and bottom hole assemblies, casing & casing drilling bit integrity.
- Workshop duties as required
- Comprehension and application of provided recommendations such as drilling programme, rock strength analysis, d-exponent calculations & general offset well information.
- Drill bit dull grading & bit records.
- General understanding of formation evaluation logs & how to interpret them to assist in the drilling process.
- Maintain a complete listing of all relevant tools and equipment on location, and days on location.
- Assist and advise trainees on running RWC and DWC equipment.
- Responsible for full reporting procedures, including incident / accident & failure reports.
- Any other duties as you may be assigned from time to time.
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATION
- Experience and ability to solve problems and perform with minimal supervision
- General Field Drilling Experience
- Good computer skills such as Microsoft Excel & Word
- Good in Mathematics
- 1-3 years of previous drilling experience, preferably for oil, gas or large bore geothermal
- Able to work in teams effectively
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English)
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in mechanical or petroleum engineering
