Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of equipment procured by company.
- Inspection will range from a minimal Type / Quantity / General Condition (Kick & Count) to an in depth and detailed validation of fabricated mechanical components to various industry standards and codes, project requirements (as defined by company and / or Client) and in some cases local regulatory requirements.
- Inspections would generally be conducted in a manufacturer’s facility or field conditions, requiring a level of agility to attain a proper position for the required inspection.
- Cooperate with Inspection Coordinators to schedule Inspections.
- Inspections should be based on Inspection and Test Plan approved directions.
- Utilize company forms and templates for reporting results of Inspections.
Requirements:
- Able to read drawings and interpolate into fabrication processes and configurations.
- Knowledge of welding processes, codes, documentation and inspections.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and controls.
- Knowledge of machining processes and operations.
- Ability to read Specifications and Industry Standards (e.g.: API, ASME, ASNT, ANSI, NACE) and translate into fabrication process requirements.
Software Experience:
- Beginner-Intermediate Microsoft Office
- Experience in using various Data Management proprietary software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in related field preferred.
- ASNT Certified NDE, minimum level two, in MP, UT, & radiography.
- Experience in the oil/ gas industry inspecting mechanical equipment.
- Experience in the management of Quality Assurance / Control within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum five years experience inspecting valves, vessels, heat exchangers, skid fabrications, pumps, cranes, forged parts, winches, HPU, umbilicals, floatation hoses, general steel fabrication and other related areas from their compliance to design and / or operational requirements.
- Minimum of two years of Coating Inspections in accordance with NACE requirements (NACE Certification a plus).
All positions offered require excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills. Positions may require overseas travel and/or offshore assignment.
