 Company Atlantic Canada interests include positions in non-operated joint ventures (NOJV) at Hibernia, Terra Nova and Hebron, and a significant exploration position offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.


Company Canada Resources is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its St. John's based Finance organization, a growing team that provides Finance and Accounting support to all of Company Atlantic Canada based Exploration, Development, and Production assets.


Key responsibilities for this position include:
  • production, revenue & royalty accounting
  • asset cost analysis, reporting, and forecasting
  • maintaining strong Joint Venture Partner relationships
  • application of Joint Operating Agreement provisions to daily transactions
  • ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with external Regulatory Board requirements
  • development of annual Business Plans
  • provision of project accounting and audit support to short-term drilling and seismic programs
 
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Business Degree or Diploma
  • Accounting designation awarded or in progress
  • 5+ years accounting experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in working in a cross functional team environment 
  • Strong computer skills, with previous SAP and excel experience considered an asset
  • The successful candidate in this role must also have the skills required to build relationships and work within a multi-cultural team environment.  CCR recognizes that diversity is key to our business success and is an equal opportunity employer.
