Essential Responsibilities
• Work as part of the Manufacturing Plant T&A QC team, to provide professional welding inspection resource in line with [Company] VGS spec 8.5.3 (Weld Inspection)
• Review and approve tree schematic level NDT reports
• Review and approve tree schematic final bombing radiograph reports
• Work in conjunction with T&A Plumb Cell to support internal weld matrix reports required for successful tree completion
• Liaise with customer T.P.I. on welded related issues
• Provide support to Man Eng by carrying out internal NDT operations in the event no sub-con resource is available (Dye Pen, MPI etc)
• Take full ownership of welding log training/competency records for all Manufacturing Plant Orbital/Spool welding activities
• Become primary user of new Welding Institute library software, to enable all welder training records to be kept in electronic format
• The successful candidate would also have to be prepared to undertake an annual visual eye examination conducted in accordance with QSP 10.2 or equivalent program
Qualifications/Requirements
• Certified qualification to CSWIP (Welding Institute) or an equivalent international standard
• Minimum NDT Level II in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A or equivalent program
• Radiography Interpretation qualification
• Substantial experience working in a welding inspection environment
