Role Summary/Purpose
Looking for a candidate with engineering and commercial background to lead technology aspect of [Company] Steam Turbine product line. The person will leverage technology and a global mindset to drive product competitiveness and margins.
Essential Responsibilities
- Leverage technology programs to drive product line vitality, multi generational product planning, and new product development on Steam Turbine product line.
- Will become the focal point for the technical development of the product, covering both impulse and reaction technology product lines
- Drive and introduce technical solutions to improve competitiveness of [Company] steam turbines
- Drive cross-functional NPI (New Product Introduction) process …from idea generation to business case development to bringing new products to market.
- Drive gap closure …work with functions to add more product improvement activities
- Remove roadblocks on the on-going technology programs …accelerate approval to quote whenever possible
- Provide leadership on Steam Turbine product line during annual business planning processes – MGPP (Multi-Generational Product Planning), GPB (Growth Play Book) and S2 Board of Director reviews.
Qualifications/Requirements
- BS Degree with Engineering or related background
- Previous experience in Product Management and/or Marketing/Commercial Leadership Experience
- Requires strong communication skills and cross functional breadth to provide strong leadership and direction to product teams
- Strong analytical and statistical data-driven skills. Must be able to develop and present new product business cases, cost/benefit analysis, economic modeling, and resourcing plans
- Must be able to energize teams at all levels of the organization and effectively balance multiple initiatives
- Requires energetic, assertive, and self-motivated individual to work in a fast paced environment with limited direction
