Introduction:
An opportunity for an experienced subsea valves engineer to join one of the worlds leading oil and gas engineering consultancies on an offshore development project.
Job Specification:
General:
Position is for a subsea valve engineer, preferably with deepwater development experience.
Candidate should ideally have significant experience in the design, fabrication, installation and testing of subsea manifolds, valves, SSIV’s and support tooling.
Candidate should have detailed knowledge of the design and qualification activities of valves, both ball and gate types, for new service conditions and pressures.
Candidate will be working within an integrated team as part of a FEED project, comprising deep water subsea tie-back of wells to a shallow water platform.
Responsibilities will include:
• Preparing initial equipment selection strategies in line with client’s documentation and preferences
• Preparation of technical notes, reports and decision papers in conjunction with client representative engineers to define hardware requirements and scope
• Preparation of preliminary equipment functional specifications
• Development of testing strategies (FAT/EFAT/SIT) and installation requirements
• Verifying compliance to Company's specifications and technical documentation
• Interface with client's own equipment, systems and pipeline engineering teams
• Co-ordination of verification processes for manufacture and qualification testing techniques to be employed
• Provide support to the preparation of the ITT documentation
• Development of assurance processes with the Company integrity management system
• Liaise with vendor on behalf of client during procurement, manufacture and testing phases
Experience and knowledge of the following:
• Valve selection, design and specification
• Interacting with subsea, process, materials and operations disciplines
• Requirements/characteristics associated with HP and HIPPS systems
• Familiarity with diverless subsea production systems (from Xmas Tree interface to topside arrival) covering production and service functions
• Developing new or existing products in line with industry reliability norms
• Current knowledge of codes and legislation particularly leakage criteria
• Generating and maintaining supporting technical documentation for enquiry and purchase packages
• Package engineering over the design, enquiry and project execution cycle
• ROV tooling, intervention systems
• Material selections
• Interfaces with SCS equipment and components
• FAT, EFAT, SIT testing and related site testing activities
