Our client is a major international integrated energy company with significant interests in the region. Due to an increasing workload, a brand new role has been created for a legal counsel with 2-4 years PAE to join their rapidly growing Australasian business.
Reporting directly to the Legal Manager, this varied and stimulating role involves interaction with a range of stakeholders - internal and external, government and private. You will also be involved in a variety of wider business issues, advising on Australian and international law, compliance issues and dispute resolution as well as negotiating, reviewing and drafting a wide range of contracts.
You are a commercially oriented lawyer, seeking to move in house from private practice. Ideally you have upstream oil and gas experience, however candidates with strong front end experience from a top tier/boutique firm with an interest in the oil and gas industry will be considered. You are a good communicator with the ability to work autonomously and are keen to learn.
