About the Role:
· Reporting to the OH&S Manager, key accountabilities will include:
· Providing advice and support to management and staff on OH&S issues
· Overseeing implementation of OH&S requirements
· Recommending ongoing improvements to company OH&S management systems
· Providing recommendations to ensure compliance with relevant OH&S legislation
· Maintaining the OH&S incident management database
· Implementing hazard identification and risk management processes
· Liaising with external bodies
· Overseeing the workplace audit program
Skills / Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will have a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience gained within a similar role, ideally within the heavy engineering, utilities, construction and/or oil & gas industries. Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline, you will be passionate about developing a behavioural based safety first culture. You will use your high level communication and interpersonal skills to drive best practice and continuous improvement relating to all safety matters.
