Reporting straight into and working side by side with the subsurface manager the theory you learnt in your Petroleum engineering degree will be put into practice to help cultivate and develop you into an industry expert.
This office based position will allow you to review reservoir data and build simulations using CMG software, experience with either Ecllipse or CMG would be great but not essential as detailed training will be provided. The role will also give you the opportunity to get out into the field you can expect to spend in the region of one week out of six on site, this will obviously give more clarity to the work you carry out in the office, thus making you a more rounded professional. With a dedicated drilling team in place you will also play an integral part in completion and workover operations, the well testing software used in house is Pan Systems, again experience would be nice but not critical.
If you have just graduated or have a year or two industry experience this position is certainly worth discussing, as part of a small team but one that is continually growing your desire and approach to work is very important. If you can demonstrate you have an ability to be a team player, actively contribute to a vibrant workplace and show a genuine willingness to learn I would like to talk to you.
