Our client, a leading provider of professional services to the energy and resources industries, is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work on an Oil and Gas project in [Location]. This is a short term contract with an immediate start!
This role will involve performing specific design tasks relating to oil and gas structural engineering analysis and design of topsides and associated substructures.
Skills and experience required include (but are not limited to):
· Previous experience in minimum facility platform design including substructure, topsides and bridges.
· An understanding of structural analysis in the areas of dynamic loading and resistance, collapse analysis, spectral fatigue analysis, fire and explosion design, reliability based analysis and dropped object.
· A Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
· 8+ years experience in the Oil and Gas industry with approximately 2 years in conceptual studies, FEED and details design.
The successful applicant will possess excellent leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills. In addition you will have the ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate enthusiasm in achieving project success.
Competitive hourly rates will be offered commensurate with skills and experience.
