Our client is offering an outstanding opportunity to join their team as Manager of Human Resources.
Key Accountabilities
- The successful candidate will lead a team of three people and be responsible for the overall Human Resources operations of two facilities in Western Canada. Edmonton with 400 unionized employees and Vancouver with 85 unionized employees
- This role is based in Edmonton but expected to travel to the Vancouver facility for 2-3 days each month
- Required to support management, operations and corporate office in all aspects of Human Resources
- Required to take a lead role in labor/management meetings
Qualifications
- A Human Resources professional with a proven track record in generalist HR Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to candidates with a CHRP designation
- Ten years in Human Resources with strong Labor Relations experience. The ideal candidate will have had experience sitting at the negotiating table but not necessarily have been spokesperson
- Comprehensive knowledge of current labor legislation
- Experience with a green field project will be considered an asset
- An ability to work independently and possess strong analytical skills
This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources for Canada with a dotted line to the General Manager of Edmonton and Vancouver.
Salary & Benefits
The base salary for this position will range between $75,000 - $90,000 per annum based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition, there is a potential annual cash bonus of up to 20% based on corporate profitability.
