Job Description:
[Company] , provides self-elevating lifeboats, cranes, lodging and accommodations to the offshore drilling industry, both domestically and internationally. [Company] has the most diverse fleet of lifeboats in the world with leg length from 145 to 25 feet and capable of working in water depths up to 180 feet. [Company] maintains one of the highest safety records in the industry and is interested in candidates who will help to maintain or exceed that record.
The Derrick Barge Operations crew is needing a Licensed Captain to join their team working on new 880 ton Derrick Barges and 5000 HP Anchor handling Tugs. All applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years experience with a Derrick Barge in order to be considered for this position. All Tug crews must have a license and 5 years of anchor handling experience.
The Captain MUST have the following requirements:
- Must have a Master Mariner’s license
- Must have a Valid seaman’s book and Vanuatu license
- Must have a STCW certification
- Must have 5 years working on a (Z drive) AHT
- Must have past AHT experience in which anchor handling experience is documented for pipelay or DB operations
- Must be able to remain at sea for 90 minimum hitches
- Must have a valid passport
- Must have knowledge of crossing pipelines and using survey and GPS guidance for positions of anchors
- Must have extensive knowledge of how to follow stability booklet guidelines and ballasting during heavy lifts and adverse sea conditions
- Must be certified in water survival training
- Must be experienced with all areas of retrieving and rigging buoys and anchors in a marine environment
