Job Description:
- Analyze & problem solve and efficiently implement solutions using code VBA, ArcObjects, or Python
- Read, author, and modify legacy VBA ArcObjects code
- Read, author, and modify legacy Python scripts
- Perform some independent project work
- Provide GIS user support with very little assistance
- Successfully work and communicate with business area personnel and management
The candidates selected to be interviewed should be prepared to bring a portfolio of previous work that reflects the job/skill requirements and to demonstrate required skills through a written test and technical review during the interview process.
Excellent understanding of:
- Windows based OS and file systems
- Windows server administration (user administration & permission management)
- RDBMS (MS SQL Server), tables, basic to intermediate SQL queries
- XML
- Ad hoc support map generation
Advanced understanding of:
- GIS analysis, workflow process creation
- ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap, ArcCatalog), ArcSDE (spatial side),
- Spatial side SDE, file, and personal geodatabase creation, maintenance, administration
Work experience:
- Non-educational .NET C# development experience
- Creation of documentation for workflow processes, or for written code
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Project experience with Geocortex Essentials a plus
